For some unknown reason Wednesday nights have always seemed to be the main night for bike nights around the country, and with a myriad of places to choose from it seems sense during the summer months to add a decent ride and go to those further away from home, making the most of the longer evenings.

So it was time to be brave and head norf, and for those of us in surrey that means anywhere north of the Thames, to London Colney, about 65 mainly motorway miles but its worth it  Curiosity Motorcycles has been running a Hotrod and Bike night for a while at the Broadlakes Social Club since July when we were told we can play more these have been packed, so much so that these nights have now split, with hotrods on a Tuesday and bike nights on a Wednesday.

To say it has been an instant hit is an understatement with bikes from early 1900s to present day arriving, scooters, choppers, classics, and the unusual they have been packed. The club has given us a very warm welcome and it seems even the locals look out for the steady stream of bikes.

I am also very impressed by the amount of learner riders, and it must be the only place I have seen with 4 Chinese 125 cc hardtail choppers in one place. And chatting to some there several have made reasonable round trips to attend too.

Well worth the trips out, now where too next for our sunny evenings
